The Brazos County office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is offering a food preservation class, “Preserving the Harvest”, on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the St. Joseph Parish Activity Center located at 700 East 26th Street in Bryan. The class topics will include water bath canning, a hands-on workshop to prepare tomato salsa, pressure canning and pressure canning testing, freezing, drying, pickling as well as jams, jellies and preserves. The cost is $25.00 per person, which covers lunch and supplies. To RSVP for the class, contact the Brazos County Extension office at 979-823-0129. The deadline to RSVP and pay the registration fee is May 22.
