Sports Headlines–7/19/2016

Former Texas A&M forward Danuel House has played his way onto an NBA roster. House’s performance playing in the NBA summer league has led to a 2-year contract for House with the Washington Wizards. House averaged 11.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in the summer league.

Former Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill may be back on the field as a starter this fall, this time with TCU. Hill left Texas A&M two years ago after setting a single-game passing record of 511 yards against South Carolina, then being benched in favor of Kyle Allen and finally suspended for violating team rules. Hill spent the past season learning the TCU offense and Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson said yesterday at the Big 12 media days that either Hill or Fort Worth native Foster Sawyer will be the starter. While refusing to pick between the two, Patterson said Hill’s Texas A&M experience gives him an edge.
