Sports Headlines–6/21/2013

The Brazos Valley Bombers got back into the win column last night as they beat the Generals in Victoria 4 to 1.  Bombers starter Zac Curtis says it took a while to get settled into the game.  Once settled in, Curtis lasted seven innings and allowed only three hits.  The Bombers and Generals will play again tonight in Victoria.

The Houston Astros capped off a come-from-behind 7 to 4 win yesterday with a three-run walk-off homer in the 10th inning by Carlos Pena to beat the Milwaukee Brewers.  The Astros are in Chicago today to play the Cubs.

The Texas Rangers used a bang-bang play at the plate yesterday to end the game to squeeze past the visiting Oakland A’s 4 to 3.  The Rangers are in St. Louis tonight to play the Cardinals.

And, the Miami Heat won their third NBA Championship last night with a 95 to 88 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
