Sports Headlines–6/19/2013

The Brazos Valley Bombers tasted defeat for only the second time this season last night when they fell to The Woodlands Strykers on the road 4 to 2.  Following the game, Bombers head coach Curt Dixon gave credit to the Strykers pitchers for keeping the Bombers bats off balance.  The Bombers and Strykers will play again tonight in The Woodlands.

The Houston Astros bats came alive last night as they pummeled the Milwaukee Brewers for a 10 to 1 win.  It was the fifth win during the last six games for the Astros.  The Astros and Brewers will play again tonight in Houston.

The Texas Rangers lost to the Oakland A’s last night 6 to 2.  The slumping Rangers, who at this time last week still were ahead of the A’s in first place in the American League West Division standings, now trail the A’s by three-games.  The Rangers and A’s will play again tonight in Arlington.

And, the NBA Finals will go the distance after the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Heat in Miami last night 103 to 100 in overtime.  The deciding Game Seven of the championship series will be played tomorrow night in Miami.
