Sports Headlines–5/16/2013

The Texas A&M baseball team will wrap-up the regular and conference season on the road in Knoxville with three games beginning tonight at Tennessee.  The Aggies and Volunteers will play tonight and tomorrow at 5 pm and Saturday at 12 noon.

The Brazos Christian baseball team lost yesterday 7 to 5 to Brook Hill in the TAPPS Class 3A State Championship game.  The Eagles finished the season with a 16-8-1 record.

The Houston Astros ended their six-game losing streak yesterday by holding off a late charge by the Tigers in Detroit to post a 7 to 5 win.  The Astros are off today.

The Texas Rangers beat the A’s in Oakland yesterday 6 to 2.  The Rangers are home in Arlington tonight to open a four-game series against the visiting Detroit Tigers.

And, the San Antonio Spurs can advance to the Western Conference Finals with a win tonight at home over the Golden State Warriors.  The Spurs lead the best-of-seven semi-final series three-games-to-two.
