Sports Headlines–4/19/2013

The A&M Consolidated Tigers baseball team will play their final home game of the season tonight when they host College Park for a District 14-5A game at 7 pm.  The Rudder Rangers will play a District 18-4A game on the road tonight at Willis.  And, the College Station Cougars will play their home finale tonight at 7 pm as they host Taylor for a District 18-3A game.  Tomorrow, the Cougars will play a non-district game at Tomball Concordia and the Bryan Vikings will host Houston Second Baptist.

The softball regular season wraps-up this weekend as the Bryan Lady Vikings play a District 14-5A game at College Park tonight and play a non-district game at Katy Seven Lakes tomorrow.  And, the College Station Lady Cougars play their season finale tonight as they host Taylor for a District 18-3A game.

The Texas A&M baseball team is in Fayetteville for a three-game S-E-C series against 12th-ranked Arkansas.  The Aggies and Razorbacks will play tonight at 6:35 pm, tomorrow at 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm.

The 13th-ranked Texas Aggie softball team is also on the road this weekend to play a conference series at Georgia.  The Aggies and Lady Bulldogs will play today at 5 pm, tomorrow at 3 pm, and Sunday at noon in Athens, Georgia.

The N-B-A play-offs begin this weekend with best-of-five conference quarterfinal series.  The Houston Rockets will play at the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night and the San Antonio Spurs will host the L-A Lakers on Sunday afternoon.

And, in major league baseball, the Texas Rangers fell to the Cubs in Chicago yesterday 6 to 2.  Tonight, the Houston Astros open a three game home series with the Cleveland Indians and the Rangers begin a three game home series with the Seattle Mariners.
