Sports Headlines–3/28/2013

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL HAS BEEN MOVED UP A DAY THIS WEEK BECAUSE OF TOMORROW’S OBSERVANCE OF THE GOOD FRIDAY HOLIDAY.  THE BRYAN VIKINGS WILL HOST COLLEGE PARK FOR A DISTRICT 14-5A GAME.  THE A&M CONSOLIDATED TIGERS WILL ALSO PLAY A DISTRICT 14-5A GAME AS THEY HOST OAK RIDGE.  AND, THE COLLEGE STATION COUGARS WILL PLAY A DISTRICT 18-3A GAME AT TAYLOR.

GIRLS SOFTBALL IS ALSO BEING PLAYED A DAY EARLIER THAN USUAL THIS WEEK WITH THE BRYAN LADY VIKINGS TRAVELING TO CONROE FOR A DISTRICT 14-5A GAME.  THE A&M CONSOLIDATED LADY TIGERS WILL HOST THE WOODLANDS FOR A DISTRICT 14-5A GAME.  THE RUDDER LADY RANGERS WILL PLAY A DISTRICT 18-4A GAME AT CANEY CREEK.  AND, THE COLLEGE STATION LADY COUGARS ARE IN TAYLOR FOR A DISTRICT 18-3A GAME.

THE TEXAS A&M BASEBALL TEAM IS AT SOUTH CAROLINA TONIGHT TO PLAY THE FIRST OF A THREE-GAME S-E-C SERIES AGAINST THE GAMECOCKS.  IN ADDITION TO TONIGHT’S GAME, THE TEAMS WILL PLAY AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT AND SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

AND, IN PRO BASKETBALL LAST NIGHT, THE HOUSTON ROCKETS LOST TO THE INDIANA PACERS 100 TO 91, BUT THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS SLIPPED PAST THE DENVER NUGGETS 100 TO 99.  TONIGHT, THE DALLAS MAVERICKS WILL HOST THE PACERS.
